Presto’s Grand Staff Assistant helps students explore how notes and musical patterns are organized across the treble and bass clefs.
Teachers can use it to work with note names, landmark notes, steps and skips, intervals, melodic direction, ledger lines, patterns, and connections between written notation and the piano keyboard.
Because notes can be viewed and moved within the context of the grand staff, students can learn to recognize musical relationships rather than depending only on memorization of isolated note names.

They were developed alongside the Presto! It's Piano Magic curriculum, but teachers do not need to use that curriculum to benefit from them. The aids can be incorporated into many different teaching methods and learning environments.
