Originally published in 1899, the Maple Leaf Rag by Scott Joplin (1868-1917) is one of the earliest and most famous compositions of ragtime piano music. It was one of Scott Joplin's early works, and became the model for ragtime compositions by subsequent composers. As a result, Scott Joplin became known as the "King of Ragtime" by his contemporaries and to the present day. Includes helpful fingering suggestions.
